The Postgraduate Program in Teaching, Language and Society (PPGELS) was recommended by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) on October 5, 2018, at the Professional Master’s level, and is housed in the Department of Human Sciences (Campus VI) of the State University of Bahia (UNEB), created in 1980 as the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of Caetité and transformed, in 1983, into Campus VI of UNEB, currently located at Avenida Contorno, s/n, Neighborhood São José, Caetité, Bahia.
